Founded by Erzsi Deak in 2010, Hen&ink Literary Studio represents authors and illustrators in the children’s (and some adult) markets. We champion imaginative, emotive, and funny books full or heart, and take an editorial approach when collaborating with our clients from around the world.
Our clients have been awarded the ALA Notable, the Irma Black Award, and the Julia Ward Howe Award. Hen&ink books regularly receive starred reviews from Kirkus, Booklist, Publishers Weekly and are selected by the Junior Library Guild. They are often featured as Best Books by the New York Public Library, Bank Street College, Kirkus, the CCBC, Mighty Girl, and other prestigious institutions.
