Hen&ink Coop: Whitney Stewart

About Whitney Stewart

Whitney Stewart is an award-winning author of nonfiction for kids—toddlers to teens. Her passion for sharing the world with children inspired her to publish her first biography after interviewing the Dalai Lama in India. She also trekked with Sir Edmund Hillary in Nepal, and interviewed Aung San Suu Kyi in her home in Myanmar. She is the author of nine mindfulness books for children, multiple books on world cultures, and a young adult book on genomics. Her newest releases are Mindful Tots: Rest & Relax and Mindful Tots: Animal Antics (Barefoot Books 2020); and Genomics: A Revolution in Health & Disease Discovery (Lerner, 2020), co-authored with her geneticist husband Dr. Hans C. Andersson.
